Pam Lee
Pam Lee has proven to be a driving force in the Indianapolis music scene. She is an accomplished Rock Lead & Rythm Guitar Player, Vocalist and Writer. Pam stays busy playing in multiple bands. Her most recent successes outside of Cover Gurlz are with her 6-year tenure with GlamericA. A band that now plays nationally performing Classic Glam Rock. They were invited to play Whisky A Go Go’s Crue Fest in 2023 and is invited back to play in 2024. She is also the recent member of the newly formed band Trial by Fire.
Pam started out in the music scene while in the Army. There she met a group of players and joined the band Blue5A. Performing in Germany and the US. In the 1980’s she was a member of another national band Angels Flight, Pam Lee and the Rave, Rumors, and others.
Pam met a group of women in the late 80’s in a 3-piece band called The Girls a Classic Rock Band. She joined that band adding the dynamic of rhythm guitar, vocals. She shared leadership to help launch the band to play gigs alongside bands such as Night Ranger, Peter Frampton, Kansas, Lover Boy, 3 Dog Night, Joan Jett, and more.
Pam’s musical influences are in part, Phil Collin of Def Leppard, Slash of Guns and Roses and multiple 80’s and 90’s bands.
Pam is also a retired police officer. She started her career in the police academy in Kansas City. She took a hiatus from playing music with The Girls during that time to get her career off the ground. Pam returned to Indianapolis and rejoined The Girls who by then had changed her name to Drama Queen.
Pam is the only member of The Girls/Drama Queen that continued to play in the Indy music scene when they disbanded due to the lead singer retiring in 2015.
It is hard to sum up all of Pam’s talents in one article. She is self-taught and has a drive to perform like no other. She will continue to play her guitar as long as she has a breath.
Trish Akers
Trish Akers has been a well-known member of the Indianapolis music scene for many years. She is a self-taught player of acoustic guitar, drums and bass who started playing music in garage bands at the age of seven. She played different instruments in many various bands in nightclubs over the years and was asked to join the all-girl band Drama Queen with Beau and Pam in 2002. She was the drummer with them from 2000-2003 playing a wide variety of classic rock songs along with originals. She recorded a CD of original songs with them and opened for many national artists during that time.
Trish focused on guitar after Drama Queen and played solo gigs around town until she formed the all-female group RocKandy in 2016. She played 12-string acoustic guitar in this successful duo playing festivals and other venues across the Indiana area until 2024. At the end of 2025, Beau and Pam appeared again to start this new exciting venture, Cover Gurlz.
Trish is an old soul driven by music from the 70’s. She has a rich, soulful voice and is an accomplished songwriter as well. She brings that flare to Cover Gurlz that enables them to do those classic sounds from the 70’s all the way through today’s music!
Beau Brinkley
Beau has also been in the Indianapolis music scene for many years. She started playing bass and singing at 13 in a small rock band in school in Henry County KY. At 16 She recorded her first EP as a county artist.
From 16 - 22 years of age she lived in Louisville KY and was a bass player and vocalist for different rock bands in the area. At 23 she moved to Indianapolis and played in multiple Pop & Rock bands.
In the late 1980's she met an all-female group called “The Girls” who later changed their name to “Drama Queen”. She toured with them and recorded on their second EP called Psychotherapy. She stayed with Drama Queen for most of her career playing on the same stages with bands such as Peter Frampton, Kansas, Night Ranger and more.
She also was the bassist for Trial By Fire before forming Cover Gurlz. Her major musical influences are Getty, Lee, Chris Squire and Jaco Pastorius.
Beau is not only a multi-talented musician, but she also takes care of running sound, handling digital creation and managing social media for the band. This project started with her vision of forming an all-girls group which would transform the ordinary acoustic act show into a far more extraordinary musical experience for Indy.
